That is why a person who consumes large amounts of carbon dioxide, such as a smoker, can develop breathing problems.While the popularity of having a very high level of CO being created in the body has been a concern, many new studies are showing that the effects of it in terms of cancer can actually be decreased by increasing the levels of this nitrogen that is taken in by the body. This is still not accepted by the medical community, but studies are showing that a low level of this nitrogen could also decrease the risk of certain forms of cancer. It is still up in the air when it comes to whether or not this nitrogen will ever be used as a medicine.
